In San Pedro, some of the best Belizean restaurants in the country can be found. However, you should be aware that San Pedro is probably the most expensive place in Belize. If backpacking is your style of life and the word “tourist trap” sounds like an insult, then go to Caye Caulker instead.
You may get to San Pedro by boat from Belize City, Caye Caulker, and the Mexican city of Chetumal. There is also an airport on the island, so you may locally fly there from any other airport in the country.
